Humanities Advocacy Day

Tuesday, March 12th

On Humanities Advocacy Day, state-based delegations will visit Members of Congress and their staff. Together, we will advocate for increased FY 2025 funding for the National Endowment for the Humanities, the National Archives and Records Administration, and the Department of Education’s international education programs (Title VI and Fulbright-Hays).

Before we meet in D.C., participants will be introduced to their advocacy group via email and receive advocacy training resources and profiles of the Members of Congress whose offices they will visit. During the NHA Annual Meeting on March 11, we will offer training on Capitol Hill advocacy and all advocates will have time to meet with their groups to discuss strategy and logistics for the following day.
