Join us for a reception Sunday evening to connect with fellow conference participants.
The Annual Meeting brings together faculty, administrators, and representatives from scholarly societies, museums, archives and other humanities organizations to build their capacity to advocate for the humanities.
On Humanities Advocacy Day, state-based delegations will visit Members of Congress and their staff. Together, we will advocate for the National Endowment for the Humanities, the National Archives and Records Administration, and the Department of Education’s international education programs (Title VI and Fulbright-Hays).
Before we meet in D.C., participants will be introduced to their advocacy group via email and receive advocacy training resources and profiles of the Members of Congress whose offices they will visit. During the NHA Annual Meeting on March 9, we will offer training on Capitol Hill advocacy and all advocates will have time to meet with their groups to discuss strategy and logistics for the following day.
