Course Details

This course builds on our research documenting how humanities faculty have built applied interdisciplinary undergraduate programs that demonstrate the value of specific humanities disciplines and liberal arts education to skeptical students. It is designed for faculty and administrators interested in creating courses and programs that integrate the humanities with other fields of study to solve problems and strengthen pre-professional training. Participants will learn about the impact of successful models, processes for identifying relevant resources and partners, strategies for garnering support by aligning projects with institutional priorities, and protocols for facilitating a collaborative, interdisciplinary program development process. Each virtual session is offered on two dates; registrants can choose which to attend. Attendees who complete the course will receive a certificate of completion from the National Humanities Alliance for their records.

Workshop One: Overview of Our Research

This workshop will provide an overview of NHA research on integrative and applied undergraduate courses, programs, and infrastructure.
